What is a panel builder (quadrista)?
A panel builder — quadrista in Portuguese — is the company that designs, builds and tests electrical switchboards. Shortlec is a panel builder based in Baguim do Monte, Porto, specialising in custom low-voltage boards up to 6300 A, tested to IEC 61439.
Do you work outside Porto? And outside Portugal?
Our workshop is in Baguim do Monte, Porto, but we take on custom projects for clients across Portugal and the European Union — from a single board to large-scale projects.
Which standards and certifications do you follow?
Every board is built and tested to the IEC 61439 standard, with a test report and CE marking on every project.
Do you build custom boards or sell from a catalogue?
We build to order: every board is made to the client's specification or single-line diagram. We don't sell from a catalogue.
